Army, police may face court over Odirty warą against IRA

Senior military and police officers could face prosecution after a report
today confirmed high-level collusion between security forces and loyalist
paramilitaries in Northern Ireland.
The report, by Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir John Stevens, fuelled
international pressure for a full judicial inquiry into the killing of Pat
Finucane, a solicitor who represented suspected terrorist.
Sir Johnąs detectives have interviewed 15, 000 people, catalogued 4,000
exhibits, taken more than 5, 550 statements and seized 6, 000 documents in
the past 14 years.
